Research Focus

I work on scribal cultures and Indo-Persian literature, primarily of the Tawarikh genre (chronicles), from premodern South Asia. My broader research focuses on a socio-intellectual analysis of scribal communities, so I am also interested in critical theories on post-structural textual analysis whereby I unpack the discourses framing scribal authorship and narrative emplotment.
